The Italian language School Istituto Linguistico Mediterraneo offers language courses  for foreigners organized in weekly modules.
General courses, intensive , super and mini-intensive courses, preparatory courses for CILS examination of the University for Foreigners of Siena, holiday courses: lessons can be in a group, from 20 to 30 hours per week, or individually, from 2 to 8 hours per day.


PisaThese courses  are held in the gorgeous cities of Pisa and Viareggio.

In Pisa , when they are not at school,  students can visit this fantastic city full of art  and culture, a few steps away from many other important cities,  such as Florence and Siena.

In Viareggio they have free time  for tourist excursions and sunbathing on the beach.

In order to touch the authentic Italian culture, lifestyle and history, the school  also provides other courses, where students can learn Italian while doing other things/activities, like  learning Art History, Italian Cooking, Wine-tasting and Painting.


Studying Art and Painting in Italy
ILM school  in fact offers a Mediaeval and Renaissance Art History course, which focuses on the Italian artistic tradition starting from the Romanesque period till Renaissance and Mannerism.
The painting course is a practical one, kept by Master Enrico Fornaini, during which students can discover the techniques of the Italian Renaissance painters. 


Cooking Italian Food

Cooking lessons aim at getting to know the basics of Italian Cuisine, such as Pasta, Stewed Meats, pizza and safferan Risotto. Lessons are held in a typical Italian kitchen in contact with an Italian family and they ends with a dinner where students eat what they have prepared.


Drinking Italian Wines

The wine tasting course is a practical course. It offers the opportunity to learn about Tuscan and Italian Wines, and how to match them with the main Italian dishes.
During the course students can visit  the Tenuta Torre a Cenaia, and its vineyards, enjoying and tasting the production of the local winery.

All these courses must be followed together with an Italian language course. In this way, in fact, students can discover the language step by step while getting a better awareness of the world of Italy and its traditions.
